This needs to be shared with me by Wednesday, March 6. Also post the answers on your Blogger.

How did you decide on your Big Idea?
I thought coming of age was something I could relate to as well as other people, and the theme typically produces good, entertaining movies.

How did you decide on a way to show that Big Idea through video?
By doing a narrative/epic type movie showing an adventure flashback that a man walking among his old memories reconciles.

What video concepts did you decide not to do? Why?
I had the idea to do a coming of age movie right away I did not really develop any other Big Ideas.

Do you feel you effectively talked about your Big Idea with your video? Why or why not?
For the most part.  I think I could have emphasized the points I wanted to show a little better, for example I wanted to show how coming of age involves sacrificing what you want sometimes.  I also wanted to show how adventures are typically the strongest memories you have when you think back to what you have learned from and what makes you who you are today.

What was the best part of this process (brainstorming, writing, planning, shooting, editing, etc?) Why was it the best for you?
I enjoyed the writing and editing of this movie the most.  I enjoyed the writing because I could pretty much write whatever story I wanted without constraints and get excited about what my movie looked like on paper.  Editing was fun too because of how bad the acting was in the movie and the need for all artificial sound it was quite the challenge.

What was the best part of choosing your own Big Idea as opposed to me setting one for you? The worst part?
It makes you much more interested to create the video and also makes it more personal in the sense of the idea of the movie and in the style and format.  And obviously, the worst part of choosing your own idea was the difficulty in deciding on what to do since there are so many routes you can take.

Propose one additional Big Idea video idea that you could accomplish by March 14. I want very specific details: what, who, why, how, when, where.

My new idea for a BIG IDEA 2 is to do an animation about greed/the american dream/whatever you want it to be. Usually, I don't lean towards serious movies or ideas, so this will be new. However, I plan to make it a lighter, simple video on the surface with a deeper meaning as you dig, since this is more towards my style and honestly I can't stand overly serious high school films. I will only have to use myself, so that will be helpful since the biggest problem that occurred with my last video was getting actors. It will be a single scene movie of two people, one young and one old, at a bus stop where the younger really wants to see what the old man is reading. Then, the old man throws the paper away and walks off and the younger guy pulls it out of the trash to read. He opens it and realizes that it is blank, and he gets frustrated and throws it away as well (and leaves). As an foreshadowing kind of conclusion, there will be another guy who walks into he shot and find the paper in the trash, and pulls it out and the movie ends as the audience can infer the cycle continues as it does with greed and the american dream.
